Brazilian buttock augmentation is a fat transfer procedure designed to create toned, youthful, and curvaceous contouring of the buttocks. This procedure can be beneficial for patients with naturally flat or sagging buttocks, or those who have lost weight and skin elasticity in that area. To achieve the best results, patients should seek an experienced plastic surgeon. For buttocks augmentation in Tampa, Clearwater, St Petersburg, and elsewhere throughout Florida, many residents turn to Board Certified plastic surgeon Dr. Joseph M. Brown of Bayshore Plastic Surgery.
Dr. Joseph M. Brown was educated and trained at Harvard, Princeton, Yale, and the University of Chicago and was named one of America’s Top Surgeons in 2009, 2010, and 2011 by the Consumer Research Council. He has nearly two decades of cosmetic surgery experience and, along with his dedicated staff, he has helped many patients reach their aesthetic goals.
What Happens During a Brazilian Buttock Augmentation Procedure?
Dr. Joseph M. Brown begins the procedure, which is also known as a Brazilian butt lift, by performing liposuction on other areas of the body – typically the lower back, abdomen, thighs, or waist – to gather excess fat. The fat is purified and injected in small amounts throughout the buttocks until the desired shape and contour is achieved.
The procedure is generally safe, but complications could include asymmetrical buttocks, dimpling or lumpiness, fluid retention, or scarring. In rare cases, bleeding and infection could occur.
